Welcome to the OOTA Field Notes

OOTA is live, the log is open, and this is where we'll post updates, guides, and dispatches from the field.

Out On The Air is officially live.

If you're reading this, you found the blog — which means you're probably already thinking about your next activation, or maybe you're still figuring out what OOTA even is.

What is OOTA?

Out On The Air is a logging platform for amateur radio operators who take their rigs outside. Not a contest exchange, not a chase program — just a place to record where you've been and what you've worked, and to let other operators know you're out there.

Self-spotting is encouraged. The log is public. The leaderboard is live.

What's coming

We're a young platform. The core features are working — activations, QSOs, spots, awards, ADIF import, PDF certificates. But there's a lot more to build, and we're listening to what operators actually want.

If you have a feature request or found a bug, drop a comment on the Reddit thread or email us at outontheair@outlook.com.

Get on the air

Register at outontheair.com, log your first activation, and see where you land on the leaderboard.
